Arthrosis treatment

Surgical treatment of arthrosis 

Arthrosis of the thumb saddle joint causes pain when carrying out virtually any daily task. Surgical treatment involves removing the large trapezoid bone with tendon interposition of the thumb. This leaves the thumb mobile and pain-free during movement.

Painful restrictions in the mobility of the wrist may also be due to arthrosis.  Partial arthrodesis is a special method that can often prevent the wrist from becoming completely stiff.
