Wrist endoscopies are very useful when investigating the cause of pain in the wrist and often show up pathological changes. Endoscopies can be performed, for example, to check the stability of ligament connections in the wrist.

Torn cartilage or diseased inner skin in the joint capsule can also be removed in a wrist endoscopy without having to open the joint.
