Joint replacements help patients to maintain or restore their physical mobility when joint functions have become impaired as a result of an accident or just general wear and tear. Dr. med. Detlev Grapentin has been one of the two chief consultants in the Department of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Surgery at the Emma Klinik in Seligenstadt since 2007. Dr. med. Onur Tarhan, senior specialist registrar in the Department of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Surgery at the Klinikum Offenbach, has worked for the Emma Klinik since 2006 where one of his jobs is to look after the "Joint Centre" which is run by the Emma Klinik in cooperation with Klinikum Offenbach.  Since 2008, Dr. med. Hans-Otto Breithaupt, medical specialist in surgery and traumatology and partner in the group practice for foot and joint surgery in  Reiskirchen, and Dr. med. Ulrich Müller, medical specialist in orthopaedics and rheumatology and Director of Parkklinik in Bad Nauheim, have also been members of the joint replacement team at the Emma Klinik.

All the doctors have many years of clinical experience in their specialist areas and together have performed around 2000 shoulder, knee and hip replacements since the year 2000. Patients can therefore rest assured that they will receive very careful surgery of the affected joint, planned individually to cater for their specific problem.
