Background information

Paediatric surgery

Paediatric surgery at the Emma Klinik

Little patients the day after the operation.

An operation doesn't have to be a traumatic experience for a child!

At the Emma Klinik we do everything we can to make sure our little patients feel comfortable. That means, of course, that parents can stay with their child before the operation until he or she goes to sleep (no waiting times in the pre-op waiting room). And you can be there when your child wakes up. Experts agree that the healing process is speeded up in a family atmosphere. Children get better quickly if they don't have to stay in the "hospital atmosphere" any longer than can be helped.  The Emma Klinik works according to this principle. Our little patients are not made to stay in bed. You can cradle your child whenever you want and children can go out for walks on the day after the operation.

If you wish, of course, a second accompanying person may also stay overnight for an additional charge. This means that both parents can be with their child during the operation.
